15 lifeless, 4.8 million stricken by floods in Bangladesh.

At least 15 people have been killed and 4.8 million affected by floods brought about by using heavy rains in Bangladesh, in keeping with the disaster control ministry.

Md Kamrul Hasan, secretary of the ministry, advised the media on Friday that 11 districts were tormented by the floods.

The affected districts are Feni, Comilla, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Brahmanbaria, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Khagrachhari, Sylhet, Moulvibazar and Habiganj.

As many as 887,629 families had been trapped in floodwaters, the secretary said.

Of the deceased, 4 died in Cumilla, 3 in Cox's Bazar,  in Chittagong, one in Feni, one in Noakhali, one in Lakshmipur and one in Brahmanbaria.

Citing climate forecasts, Kamrul stated the flood situation changed into step by step enhancing.

He said so far 188,739 humans had taken refuge in refuge centres, and the flood-affected areas had received a total allocation of Tk 3.52 crore in coins, 20,150 lots of rice and 15,000 packets of dry food.

Kamrul added that rescue operations within the flood-affected areas had been being done by the military, military, coast defend, BGB, hearth carrier, police in addition to college students.
